Here you can enter a value for the Global Dimension 1 Code. By default this value will be transferred to the corresponding field in the following situations:

When you create a new Master by use of the Master Wizard and fill in the Collection No. field, the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Collection will by default be transferred to the Global Dimension 1 Code field of the Master.
Afterwards you can manually change the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Master, unless the Global Dimension 1 Code is used as Collection Dimension. -
When you enter a Collection No. into the Collection No. field of an existing Master, the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Collection will by default be transferred to the Global Dimension 1 Code field of the Master, provided that a value has not already been filled into it.
Afterwards you can manually change the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Master, unless the Global Dimension 1 Code is used as Collection Dimension. -
When you enter a Collection No. into the Collection No. field of an Order Type, the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Collection will by default be transferred to the Global Dimension 1 Code field of the Order Type.
Afterwards you can manually change the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Order Type, unless the Global Dimension 1 Code is used as Collection Dimension. -
When you enter a Collection No. into the Collection No. field of a Sales Header, the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Collection will by default be transferred to Sales Lines of the Type Item, unless the Global Dimension 1 Sales Order has been set to From Item No. in the Sales & Receivables Setup.
Afterwards you can manually change the Shortcut Dimension 1 Code of the Sales Line, unless the Global Dimension 1 Code is used as Collection Dimension. -
When you enter a Collection No. into the Collection No. field of a Purchase Header, the Global Dimension 1 Code of the Collection will by default be transferred to Purchase Lines of the Type Item, unless the Global Dimension 1 Purchase Order has been set to From Item No. in the Purchases & Payables Setup.
Afterwards you can manually change the Shortcut Dimension 1 Code of the Purchase Line, unless the Global Dimension 1 Code is used as Collection Dimension.
