Here you have the possibility of creating subsets of VarDim Types to be used in connection with either Matrix Limitation Setup or Collections. In both cases the VarDim Type Subset can only be created for VarDim Types of the Type Variant.
In the Options Var1 field you can look up the available VarDim Variant values and set a check mark by those you want to
include in the VarDim Type Subset. When this is done and the page closed,
the Options Var1 field will show the number of selected VarDim Variant values.
If no VarDim Variant values have
been marked, the Options Var1 field will be empty meaning that no limitation of
VarDim Variant values has been made
and all valid values are available.
With relation to Collections the same of course goes for the Options Var2-9 fields.
When used with Matrix Limitation Setup
The VarDim Type Subset represents a general limitation of which VarDim Variants can be used with the Matrix Limitation Setup. It is also possible to create individual VarDim Type Subsets for specific Masters by use of the Matrix Limitation Master Relations. When you have created a Matrix Limitation Master Relation with relation to a specific Master, you can create a related VarDim Type Subset which will only be valid for that Master.
A VarDim Type Subset related to a specific Master has the highest priority. If no VarDim Type Subset is related directly to the Master, the overall VarDim Type Subset related to the Matrix Limitation Setup in general will be used.
When used with Collections:
A VarDim Type Subset related to a Collection
is only used when you create and maintain Masters
by use of the Master Wizard.
If you create and maintain Masters directly at the Master Card,
the complete set of valid VarDim Variant
will be available.
