The Matrix Limitation Master Relation is used in connection with both Matrix Limitation Setup and Shipment Date Code.
When used with Matrix Limitation Setup
If you in a Matrix Limitation Setup need to create individual VarDim Type Subsets for specific Masters, you can create Matrix Limitation Master Relations for the Masters in question. This will enable you to create the individual VarDim Type Subsets related to the Matrix Limitation Master Relations.
If a Matrix Limitation Master Relation exists for a Master, the related VarDim Type Subset will be used. Otherwise the VarDim Type Subset related directly to the Matrix Limitation Setup will be used.
When used with Shipment Date Codes:
When a Shipment Date Code has been created, you
have the possibility of restricting which VarDim Variants to be included. This is done by using the related
Matrix Limitation Master Relation.
Basically the Matrix Limitation Master Relation will contain the
VarDim Variants defined by the
VarDim Positive/Negative List of the Master. This will
be indicated by blank Options Var fields.
For each VarDim Type you can further reduce the number of VarDim Variants that you want to include in the Matrix Limitation Master Relation related to a specific Shipment Date Code. When this is done, the Options Var fields will show the number of VarDim Variants included in the positive list of the Matrix Limitation Master Relation.
