Here you can enter the No. of the Master. You can use one of the following methods:
If you have set up default No. Series for the Masters, press Enter to let the program fill in the next No. of the No. Series. You can set up separate No. Series for Master Nos. Finished Goods, Master Nos. Semi-Finished Goods and Master Nos. Raw Materials.
If you have set up more than one No. Series for Masters, click the AssistButton to the right of the field to select the No. Series you want to use. The program will fill in the next Master No. of the selected No. Series.
If you have not set up any No. Series for Masters or if the No. Series has a check mark in the Manual Nos. field, you can enter a Master No. manually. You can enter a maximum of 20 characters, both numerals and letters.
The No. identifies the Master. When you for instance enter the Master No. into a Sales Quote, the program will automatically retrieve the relevant information such as Description, Unit of Measure Code, Unit Price etc. and enter it into the Sales Line.
You cannot fill in the other fields of the Master until you have entered the Master No..
