It is possible to set up either a Collection, a Master or an Item to be a Private Label. A Private Label can be related to any number of Customers and/or Country/Regions.
When a Collection, Master or Item has been set up to be a Private Label, it will only be shown and accepted as a choice in Sales Orders with Sell-to Customer No., Bill-to Customer No., Chain, Concern or Sell-to Country/Region Code identical with one of the Customers or Country/Regions set up for it in the Relation Name 1 field of the Private Label table.
If a Collection is set up to be a Private Label, the attached
Masters will not automatically be marked as Private Labels
and they will still be available for other Customers and Country/Regions.
But if a Master is set up to be the Private Label of a
Customer or Country/Region, it will be marked as Private Label
and will only be available for this specific Customer or Country/Region, even
though it is included in a Collection.
It is the same principle for Items. If a Collection or a
Master is set up to be a Private Label, the related
Items will not automatically be marked as Private Labels and
they will still be available for other Customers and Country/Regions.
But if an Item is set up to be the Private Label of a Customer
or Country/Region, it will be marked as Private Label and will
only be available for this specific Customer or Country/Region, even
though the related Master is not a Private Label, and even
though the Item is included in a Collection which is not a
Private Label.
Private Label can be set up from either the Countries/Regions page, the Customer Card, the Item Card, the Master Card or the Collection List.
