Specifies the bin in the production area where finished end items at this location are taken from by default when the process involves warehouse activity.
Additional Information
The value in this field is automatically inserted in the Bin Code field on the production order line in the following cases:
-
The location code of the production order line points to this location.
-
The first relevant production order routing line had an empty From-Production Bin Code field. This can occur because the machine or work center is in another location or does not have a from-production bin code defined.)
-
The flushing method on the last production order routing line is set to Manual, Forward, or Backward.
Note |
---|
Individual work or machine centers at the location may use different bin codes if the From-Production Bin Code field is filled on the work or machine center card. |
Bin codes that are set up on location cards only define a default warehouse flow for certain activities, such as components in a production department. Additional functionality exists to ensure that placing items in a certain bin makes them unavailable to other activities. For more information, see the Dedicated field in the Bins window.
Note |
---|
The Flushing Method field on the location card and the production order routing line define when and how output posting occurs. For more information, see the Flushing Method field on the routing line. |
